    Hi Fiona, are there dialect differences in pronunciation of numbers? A mainland Chinese spoke 2 as more “aahrr” instead of “errr” (as in Earl), also she says 10 as more “shirr”. P.S. Thanks for all your great work

    • I would say that the ones you describe would be very Beijing pronunciation. Further south in places like Shanghai and below it softens and sounds more like the alternatives.
